Last Minute Details.....

Quick post with a few pics of some last minute details and then I'm out.....I'm so tired I could fall over and this is just the beginning!!!  Does Starbucks deliver?!?!?

I found these little holders with magnets on the back at Dollar Tree and they are perfect to hold all the different Daily 5 choices.

I've been looking for a lamp for my reading area...found one a few weeks ago and then when I went to pick it up it was gone:(  So, too excited to walk into Marshalls yesterday and find this one:)

Also, I have had several requests for the Checking for Understanding checkmarks so, here ya go.....freebie for today:)  As I stated before, these are not my original idea but that of Tonya of Tonya's Treats 4 Teachers.

  3. Hey Kymberly...I just make them in Word in a table. I've bought lots of cute clipart and fonts so I used those (the first letter of each child's name is a fun clipart letter). Print on cardstock, laminate, cutout and put magnets on the back. Then they can be switched around when ever:)

  7. Love your pics...(the lamp is too cute). I like the magnetic baskets...and if I can't find any they shouldn't be too hard to make.

AND if you find a Starbucks that delivers...send me the phone # :)

What kind of finish is on your block walls? My district is getting a new building next year and I like the looks of your wall better than just painted concrete blocks.

  9. Found your blog today via Pinterest. I am a teacher as well but this will be my first year teaching fourth grade. Until now I have taught a year of k, two years of 2nd, and three years of 1st. I can't wait to check out your site & get some ideas for fourth graders. We started Daily 5 at my school this past year and I plan to take it to fourth grade with me. I love Daily 5!

  17. tlroller,
I am sorry...if you read my earlier post I stated that these were not my orignal design, that I tried to get to who made them but every time I tried to follow the "trail" it came back with a system error. My daughter made a set for me looking at the pics of yours. I in no way meant to "steal" anything and again, if you read the previous post you will see that. Your blog is blocked and set at private. I will happily give you credit. I will give credit to tlroller unless you would like it to be a different name or even blog. Sorry for the confusion, you can gmail me at tara.eiken1@gmail.com if you would like to chat about this further.

  19. Thanks for following...I am now following you, too. I'm glad you found me so I could find you! ;) Blogging is such a blessing! I've learned more since June 27 than I could imagine! I start back to school tomorrow (5:30a is going to HURT since I'm still wide-eyed and bushy-tailed right now!). Your room looks marvelous! I hope to get more pix tomorrow to show what I've done. :) I'm soooo excited about this year! Blessings and peace,
