Word Work Freebie:D

I honestly thought Word Work would not only be a small nightmare for my kids but for me as well.  I have to say it has become one of my favorites!!  My kiddos agree!  I am loving looking for different things or coming up with different "activities" for them to do during word work.  My freebie for today is called "Word Work  Word's Worth".   Now, RIGHT off the bat, I have to say I cannot take credit for half of this activity.  A few years ago while stalking websites (no blogs back then or at least not to my knowledge) I came across a money worksheet from Mrs. Gold's Class.  I printed several sets of them and my students used them for their spelling words.  Well, this year I blew off the dust and came up with a word work activity for them to use it with.
                   Word's Worth Directions
As you can see from the directions for the activity,  I am only having them use their vocabulary words.  If you would like a copy of this and be able to edit it to change it to spelling words or something else, leave your gmail in  a comment and I will gladly send it your way:)  The money sheet I use can be found here:)  Word's Worth Mrs. Gold's Class.  When you go get the money worksheet you have to check out her website.  It is awesome:)

  5. Oh my...I am so excited I have found your blog! I found the Daily 5 mentioned on some blogs, bought it, read it in a few days, and I stumbled upon your blog! I am so excited to find people who share my philosophies on teaching! I have started implementing aspects of Daily 5, and am having lots of off-task behavior. How do you handle the ones who constantly disrupt and have a difficult time staying on task?
