Currently I Am......

Hi-dee-ho everyone!!
Silly me thought I was getting a jump on the Currently linky
hosted by the Fab Farley....then I saw I am like number 200????

So much for the jump....I'll just do the join....
Currently I am on the couch.....watching TV and being lazy BUT I have a good excuse...
I rolled my ankle yesterday raking and went tumbling.....
yep.....tumbling backwards.....grasping for things that would stop my fall.....
things that were not there://////

The hubs said he saw hair and then my feet flying....
so I say I am being lazy but I am really sitting with ice on my knee "resting"....
I twisted it.....it hurts......I am too old and out of shape for back flips!!!

So here I am.......Currently:)
On top of my weekend having  the "failed back flip"......
Oh yeah......also had company in my kitchen the other day....
I wish I was April fooling ya.....but I'm not!
This huge lovely came into my kitchen the other day.....well,
first he came into the garage...found his way to the door that goes into my
kitchen,........and then......he waited!
When hubs went out the door, snake came in......
I screamed so loud I'm surprised someone didn't call the police!!!
Do you see how long it is?!?!?!?!?!!?!?
My husband is fairly tall......ucky snake.....go ahead....scream for me!!!

Seriously though, minus those 2 little details, we had the best weekend ever.
Whole fam together for a few days was perfect!

Now, I'm off to ice the knee/be lazy/avoid lesson plans!!!

Thanks for popping by:)
Go link up to the Fab Farley's Currently!!

  1. YIKES! We had one of those in our bathroom when I was a kid. My mom went after it with a butcher knife. LOL
I thought I was going to be early too...guess not.

  2. I swear I am not LOLing at you but with you. We went to our friend's house for Easter dinner and I fell down their stairs. Rug burn and bruise on my arm and bruises in some other interesting places. It is a fantastic excuse for watching t.v.!! (although I guess I could be marking or planning on the couch). Hope you feel better soon!

  4. Hello, My Sweet Friend:
Next time you want company, just call me in California. DON'T invite the snake for lunch--invite me!
I'm sorry about your injury, but glad that you had family to take care of you.
Sending you giant hugs and good wishes!

  6. I do NOT DO SNAKES! I am an Army Wife and those kinds of things ALWAYS happen when the boys are deployed! I have screamed for my neighbors before! The only thing worse than a snake is a little lizard! EWWWW!
Your blog is super cute! If you designed that yourself- you should be very proud!

  7. Hey friend,
I hope you are recovering. Keep that ice on there and watch Pitch Perfect another 5 times to avoid those lesson plans :) Have a great rest of the day and a terrific week.

Oh, and don't rake again. Make the hubby do it :)

  17. I think I would have fainted. I do not like snakes. At all.... Last year a big one somehow got into the school copy room and slithered into the frack between 2 cabinets. The cabinets weren't able to be moved without tearing it all out, so they just waited... No one ever saw it leave, and I never will stand in that corner.

  21. I hope your knee feels better soon! Yikes!!! I can remember many, many, many years ago my brother finding a huge garter snake in his room. I could not sleep for days afraid there might be more lurking somewhere in our house. My Dad finally figured out that it had crawled up into the pant leg of my brother's jeans as they were hanging out on the clothesline we had in our backyard. My Mom never hung clothes out on the line again.

    Take Care!

  25. Holy cow!!!! That snake scares me just from the picture!!!! If it was in my house in real life one of us would have to move out...and while I love my house it might have to be me!!!!! Your leaf raking fiasco gives me yet another reason to avoid helping the hubby rake leaves at all cost!!! :)

P.S. I think you should "rest" for as long as you need - we all need some solid couch time occasionally!
