  1. Tara, you are so talented, I am getting great ideas for my 4th grade classroom from your blog! Thanks for sharing. I was wondering where you found your magnetic paper, and how much you paid for it? Thanks!!

  4. Could you give me an explanation of how you do the daily five? Do you have a full reading lesson and then complete the stations? I'm going to be a first year 4th grade teacher this year. I've taught K and 1st and I'm trying to get ideas for this year.

I love reading your blog. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Love your ideas here. I used the Daily 5 in my first grade classroom and have had trouble transitioning lots of the ideas into a third and fourth grade class. Definitely going to try some of your ideas out :) Thanks for sharing and I am now following your blog!

  8. Just starting with 4th GRade daily 5 in the fall. I am nervous and even a bit skeptical, but I like your ideas. I actually do many of the same activities though not under the Daily 5 structure. I am looking forward to following your blog!

  9. Hello! I am wanting to go full force with Daily 5. Started a little bit last year and really liked it. Any suggestions to get started? How to setup the classroom?

  10. I've planned all summer and I'm trying to get Daily 5 going in my class. We've been in school for 2 wks and my kids are doing well with Read to Self. I planned on having 2 rounds but I'm really struggling with combining Daily 5 with using my basal. We have Reading Street and my principal really wouldn't care if I didn't use it. He just wants to make sure we cover the skills and prepare the kids. So, I've been in conflict about using it or pulling out of it. Old habits are so hard to break. If I continue the basal, I'm not sure how I will have enough time for my 2nd round of Daily 5. I'm in need of some advice. Thanks!!

  18. I love your blog! I have taught K and 1st grade for 13 years and will be teaching 4th in the fall. I wanted a change but I am nervous about the curriculum. I love Daily 5/CAFE and plan to use it as much as possible but not sure how it will work in 4th grade. Will check your blog often for ideas. Thanks! :-)
