2000, Spiders, and Webs.....Oh My!!!

Ok............I better clarify......not 2000 spiders.....thank the Lord, I would die!!!!!  I have hit 2000 followers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Did you hear that??????  That was me screaming with joy!!!!  I cannot believe it!!  I love my blogging and bloggy buds so super much!  Your sweet words, comments, laughs, and encouragements bring me so much joy!!!  So much so that I am planning a big ole bangin giveaway to celebrate!!!!  Check back this weekend to read all about it:)

Ok on the the not 2000 spiders.......One of our science leveled readers is called Web Wizards.  Super cool, with great pics!!!  Well, since it is the spidery time of year, I decided to throw some fun into the mix.
I found this cute craft on Pinterest (where else???), at Preschool Crafts for Kids.  Lots of great holiday crafts!  It tied right in with my spidery stuff....just needed to make it a little more "academic".  So I made up a Spider Factoid sheet that the kiddos had to complete after we read Web Wizards in our small groups.

One of the little boxes was for 5 facts about spiders.  Before the kiddies could "spin" their webs,  they had to write their 5 facts around the rim of the plate.

Today was make spider time!!!  Thanks to a wonderful parent volunteer (she helped with the making and gluing so I could still meet with my groups) the spiders were all made and placed onto their webs.

I hung them from my clothesline that used to have my Daily 5 anchor charts.  They look pretty cool:)
That's not all of them....need to hang about 8 more...my clothesline is out of room.....need to get creative.

Thanks bunches for popping by and thank you to my followers!!!!!!  Don't forget to pop back in this weekend and check out my giveaway to celebrate.....I've got some wonderful bloggy friends helping me out.........it's gonna be pretty big:)

The spiders are really cool, though I'm grateful it's not 2,000 of them because they terrify me!

    Congrats again!

  7. Congrats!

I really like your spider webs. We made webs today too, but it was just making a food web using pencils on black construction paper. The kids thought it was cool, but they don't know what they are missing with all your cute crafts. :)

  8. OHHH I LOVE your spider webs!!! HOW fun!!
