It's Monday, Monday:)
It's Monday, Monday:)
I'm so excited to share my "made its" this week and even more excited to see what you all have been up to:) I'm gonna have to get to that later in the week because I'm off for 2 day common core training this week.

I got these little buckets at Home Depot. I'm not sure what I'm going to put in them yet but I KNOW I'll find something to do with them. So, I painted the middle of both of them with...
CHALKBOARD PAINT!!!
I know I have told you about the team tubs I have at each of my groups (my new ones will be a Monday Made It soon...) Well, I also have a bigger table in my classroom where my kids sometimes sit in their groups to read or to do activities. I decided I wanted supplies there too.....now, I saw one of these last year and for the life of me can't remember where I saw it....
I got the green cups and lazy susan at Walmart, spotted cups at Hob Lob, and Velcro dots at Dollar Tree.
Now I have a new supply turn table for my bigger table. I put the Velcro dots under each cup so if one of my kiddos gives it a hard spin, they won't fall off. (I hope)
I think it turned out kinda fun and of course in my new colors! I want to say though that I may switch out the lazy susan for a wooden one....haven't decided for sure yet....this one is plastic and the spin isn't as smooth as I would like......so if I decide to do that I'll post some pics of it:)
Speaking of my new colors..............I found these:
and they match this......perfectly!!!!
I have to say....I can't wait to put my classroom together:) I made this set to use in my new, tweaked classroom:)
I also did a chocolates theme:
If you want to take a peek, they're at my TPT store.
Now it's your turn to link up!

Stellar-Students
You know I was thinking that I wanted to add in pink and orange to my colors (which are blue and green), but all your creations have made me think otherwise!! :) I LOVE the grey you have added in! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute idea on the buckets! I did not know they have velcro at Dollar Tree. I don't think I've seen it at mine. I should know, I have perused up and down the aisles looking for things to re-purpose for my classroom more times than I would like to admit. I love your new color scheme, it's so fresh and cheerful.

I Love My Classroom
I love those pails, adding chalkboard paint is brilliant! You are so lucky to keep finding supplies in your classroom colors - or maybe it is unlucky to keep finding all those great things and having to spend money!! Can't wait to see pics of your classroom.
ReplyDeleteHi Tara, I love the pails, such a great idea. I'm planning a trip to Hobby Lobby soon. Could be dangerous. Would love to have you stop by my blog. Thank you for sharing your great ideas.

On the Trail of Learning
Those spinners are great. I think I might need to pick one up for myself. Our PTA did this same idea and filled them with supplies in the workroom. Then they put a bunch of signs that said "Don't Take". They know us teachers too well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link up and for sharing.

I Teach. What's Your Super Power?
Oooo, Tar I love those metal buckets!! I bought some like that last summer with this great idea in mind, and I tried to paint colorful stripes on them, but they came out crooked and scraped off easily! Maybe I should just do them chalkboard like yours!! That would be so much easier!! And I love your ribbon! I need to make a trip to the craft store! I made a lazy susan supply caddy last year and I love how it brightens up my room! I ended up using it for scissors during the year, but now I'm thinking about going back to using it for supplies!!
