Happy Monday!!
Are ya ready to link up???? Before I share my made its, I wanted to tell ya a few things.....first of all, THANK YOU for linking up all your wonderful creations:) I can't comment on every one of your posts but I DO look at every one!! I am also loving all the love I see everybody leaving on my blog and others:) Thanks for leaving comments to others! It really makes a difference:))
I am going out of town for a little fam vacay Wednesday so I will be away from email and blog and all for a week. Monday Made It will go on as scheduled next week....I just will have LOTS of catching up to do when I get back:))) Going to see my mom and sisters and niece and nephews....I haven't seen them all in at least a year and longer!!!
On to MMI!!!!
I finally got around to getting my Daily 5(4) rotation board done. Amazing what you can get accomplished when your under the gun and running out of time!!!!
I will admit, since I have changed my colors, I am starting to freak out about all the things I keep coming up with that I have to make over!!!! Eek! Well, I'm in too deep now...lol:)
This is the student rubric that will be hanging in my classroom this year:) It's a great, quick way to assess the kiddos after a lesson. I have them hold up fingers for a quick idea of where everyone is after or even during a lesson.
This is a FREEBIE on my FB fan page. If you "like" my Facebook fan page, you can get this free. I have it in 3 different color themes there and there is also another freebie there too!
My final MMI for today is a new product I made.
In the past, I have always used a classroom store as part of my classroom mgt/reward system. This year my new teamie and I have decided to try to change things up and try out the old clip chart. We have been juggling ideas as to how we are going to use this.....still juggling actually:) One thing we know we are using FOR A FACT are the awesome Behavior Beads from Miss Nelson!! LOVE those!!! We don't want to give those away super easily but we do want there to be some incentive for the kiddos that clip up.......again, we are still thinking this through.....those incentives are going to be tickets that I made.
This includes 21 different "reward" choices for the kiddos. I made it in color and black/white. Right now I am thinking I will have copies of the black/white and when a student earns one, they can pick from the ring of color ones and I will give them the black/white one they have chosen to use.
That's it for me:) Can't wait to see what ya'll link up:) Don't forget to grab my button when you link up:)
Ohh I love your rubric and already downloaded. Your Daily 4 board is precious. I need you to make me one in my colors. LOL. Also those tickets will be fabulous to use.Purchased a few minutes ago! I like the idea for using the colored ones on a ring and then they get a black and white copy. I need more INK. Why does it have to be so expensive??? I hope you have a blast on vacation. Talk to you soon.,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the rubric! LOVE! I enjoyed each one of your MMI's and hope you have an awesome time visiting with your family!
ReplyDeleteI love the rubric, and liked your FB page a few days ago! The cutting you had to do to get those tickets perfect...ah the life of a teacher cutting and laminating is never done, is it. I am doing the same thing with noticing all the colored things that I need to change that just aren't working for me anymore. I will be busy all summer!!! Enjoy your trip - you have certainly earned it! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and wonderful trip to see your family! Definitely going to use your rubric for student self-reflection! :)

These are fabulous! I love the Daily 5 Rotation Board! Are you willing to share? My colors for my room are green and pink, but the blue would look fabulous with it! I'm looking to making my Daily 5 board over! :)

Your rotation board looks beautiful! I completely feel your pain about redoing colours though :) I've had all my polka dot/chalkboard ready for weeks to go up as soon as we finish term (we don't break up for summer until next Wednesday over here!) and decided only on Thursday that I wanted to change the theme. Everything is now on round 2 :( Oh well, yours look fabulous so hopefully mine will come out alright in the end.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting!

Sorry About The Mess But...
Changing themes is a BRAVE thing to do. More power to ya and best of luck with the redesigning!! But I've heard it said that we live in our classrooms so we have to make them feel like home - and this is true! :)

I too, LOVE the rubric! Such a great idea for a quick glance around the room to check for student understanding! I also am in love with your color choices for your room change. I changed quite often so I feel ya when you say that it's amazing what you can get done when you are close to running out of time! Anyways, love everything and thanks for hosting an awesome linky once again!

Your rotation board looks great. I love your reward tickets. I love that you included a good news note to go home for the parents - that is a great idea! Hope you have a great time visiting your family!!
ReplyDeleteI love your rotations for D5. I'm debating if I should give my kids choices this year for D5. I rotated them last year and they were fine... and it was a lot easier to manage. I'm still on the fence. We'll see lol... thanks for letting us link up this week :) ~Cara Lee The Sweet Life of Cara Lee
ReplyDeleteLOVE the ticket idea!!!!! I'm always looking for incentives that don't cost me any money!
ReplyDeleteJust became a fan and downloaded the Self Reflection. Last year I numbered plastic spoons with 1-4 just to change it up a bit.

The Price of Teaching
Everything looks great! I love the reward cards. I may have to get those. I was thinking of making a rubric like yours for students to rate their understanding. We use the same system, and the visual would really help remind students what each number means. I'm grabbing that one, for sure. Thank you!!

Thank you Tara for all you do. I began following you last year and was immediately smitten with your blog. You have inspired me so =)
