Currently - Me:)

Yeah, I get to link up with my Bud Farley for her Currently linky!  I waited and watched yesterday and didn't see it and today went on a little Pier One retail therapy trip and  now as usual I am number!  That's ok....she rocks and so does her linky......and I got some fun stuff shopping:)
So my Currently is pretty self explanatory.....but my girl Farley must have read my mind for the last entry!!!!  Like seriously......the reason these last 3 days have been so wonderful is that I stopped working (at home) and had some much needed ME TIME!!!!  Now, don't get me wrong....I love my job.....but I have got to stop working all day and coming home and working all night every doesn't make for a very happy me....
This weekend I was in my garden, working and reading....delightful!!!  Reading.....a non school related book!  I HAVE got to do that more so I don't lose my happy or my sanity:)  So thanks Farley for the ME reminder:)
Now go check out Farley and all the link ups:)
Oh' boy fourth grade

  1. Haha, we have the same needing Tara! Well, except my toes are done and now I am on to my fingernails! Btw, I LOVE Sharktopus! I heard there is a sequel coming soon! Have a great week! :)

  2. I was a little late in my Currently post also.
    Have a great school year.

  3. So glad you got to spend some time for you! I definitely need to do this more often. This three day weekend has been wonderful. LIke you, I need to get off blogging and get busy on some school work. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  4. One of my daughters is working the Open - that's been an adventure and a half for her!

Good for you for claiming some time for yourself. Teachers tend to take care of everyone else, and we forget about ourselves. There's that old saying, "When Momma's happy, everyone's happy." That's true about teachers too!
    Have a great week!

  5. My toes look horrible! I'm right there with you. I need a pedicure sooo bad.

  6. LOVE YOU!!! our weekend has been full and fun too... so i would love a weekend redo too... except maybe the part where Bub didn't want to leave his Great Aunt's house so he ran around the house yelling and crying... I DON'T WANT TO GO!!!! that was a little embarrassing... OK A TON embarrassing!!!! BUT the rest was great!!!

  7. Me time is so very important. My mom left yesterday and is at the US OPEN. She is wanting to rain to go away bc right now they are just waiting.

  8. I love your focus on me time! I think the best teachers are ones to stop and have some me time and/or family time! :) It's hard to do, but is so needed!

  9. Tara, I'm so glad you were able to take a breather this weekend! It was well deserved!

  10. Glad you got to take some time to yourself this weekend. I think it is so important to feel refreshed! I know I needed that this weekend! I feel ready to go for the week now that I'm rested.

  11. was that? I love all things Shark but after watching Sharknado I was highly disappointed (although I couldn't stop watching it). Amen to making time for important!

  12. Yay for ME-time! I stopped long enough to get a pedicure today and it makes all the difference! Happy new year, Tara.

  13. Tara, I planned tomorrow's outfit so that I can wear Tom's and not have to paint my toenails tonight, lol! I am feeling lazy too!

  14. I remember seeing pictures of your garden, and it was beautiful - a great place to spend your me time.

I had friends at the US Open, and they were supposed to leave today but their flights were very delated because of the weather. One may miss the first day of school tomorrow - oh no!

I'm curious about what you found at Pier 1?

  15. Loved this weekend! A three day weekend makes such a huge difference. Enjoy your movie. No judging here. I only read trash, so I can't make fun of movie choices!

I Teach. What's Your Super Power?

  16. I made a rule for myself several years ago, no work at home (unless report card time). I only stay on the computer for 30 minutes if that a day when I'm with my family, and after the kiddies go to bed, its hubby time. I feel more rested, energized, and excited about teaching because I don't think about it or work on it ALL the time.
