Happy Monday!!!
It's getting real ya'll.....I'm going into my classroom today!!!! What?! Our official teacher day back is the 12th BUT I want my sweet daughter to help me before she moves and this is the only day......so, we're doing it!!! Stay tuned for lots of pics of the process:)
I don't have a lot of made its.....I feel like I haven't had a lot each week all summer:/ Don't know what my deal is...lol. Yes I do....I trying to suck up all the summer I can with my kids:))))))
MOST importantly, I am making memories with my kids. My son starts college today!!! His college is close so I get to keep him home a little longer:) My daughter is leaving this weekend for Tallahassee to start her masters. I am so happy for both of them and incredibly proud of them! We have had a wonderful summer.......memories. THAT is what matters ya'll!!
I have to confess......I SOOOOO wanted to change up my classroom colors a little this year....it's a sickness. They were new last year, so why change? I decided to leave things and here's why....I KNEW I would have stressed myself out remaking EVERYTHING...and didn't want that...remember memories??? BUT I did decided to tweak a few things and make a few small changes so I made new team tub and team (hang over the group) signs:)
This made it took me a little while to put together. The idea is from the amazing Abby at The Inspired Apple. I loved this idea. I'm going to have it out for open house and the first week of school to help my new kiddos get to know a little more about me:)
Meet Mrs. Eiken bulletin board:)
Kitchen update! Floors finally done...whew that took a while! Cabinets in and done but don't have the knobs and pulls on yet.....new countertop and sink are gonna be here Tuesday:) Getting there, a bit at a time;)
Now it's your turn:) Can't wait to see everyone's fun! Thank you all for linking up and sharing this summer;) Not sure how much longer the weekly ones will continue.....I may have to switch back to monthly soon:) My life is about to get real CRAY!!!!!
Have a blessed Monday!!
Making memories with your kids really is the best Made It of all isn't it? I love your back to school bulletin board. that is a great idea. I also love the intricate design of your kitchen tile. Can't wait to see the whole thing finished.

I'm Not Your Grandpa, I'm Your Teacher
Making memories are so important! I know you have made a ton of wonderful memories with your family this summer! Your kitchen looks wonderful and I LOVE your bulletin board :)
ReplyDeleteFun in Room 4B
LOVE the bulletin board about you. I just might have to do that :) Summer is the best time for memories! I also slacked major on doing anything teacher related this summer. It was the first summer I wasn't working and didn't have grad school classes. I took my 3 year old out of school for the summer and we spent 2 months doing whatever we wanted each day! He actually goes back today. Wah. I guess that means time to get busy with back to school..... I hope you enjoy your last weeks of summer!!

Dirty Hands & Lesson Plans
Your family is just too cute! Not to mention that I think you have made plenty this summer. My goal was to make 1 craft a week. Then my craft had to be simple enough that my girls could help me. Thanks for all of the inspiration!

DeleteI have felt the same way about making things. I'm always thinking ahead so that I have something for Monday Made It! :) I love your classroom colors (but I may be biased because they are the same as mine were last year). I think those new labels will do the trick. They are CUTE!

I love the all about me board! I've done an all about me basket, with things to share with the kiddos. But a board can stay up longer and is good for parents to see. Thanks for sharing!

So fantastic that you are making memories with your children. That is one thing we should all take the time to do. Love the team signs. I have always had "groups", I am changing it to teams now. I think it will promote a greater sense of working together. Super meet the teacher bulletin board. Our kiddos want to know we are "real" people too...lol. The kitchen is really coming along, the floor looks fantastic. Really like the pattern they used for the tile. Can't wait to see the finished product.
